Every year, the UK national minimum wage is revised. From April 2020, it will be:
Workers aged 25 and over earn £8.72 per hour; employees aged 18–24 earn between £4.55 and £8.20 per hour; and apprentices earn £4.15 per hour.
Average UK incomes vary widely depending on criteria such as work industry, area, gender, and skill level. In 2019, the average weekly wage for a full-time worker in the United Kingdom was £585. In 2019, the gender pay gap was 8.9 percent.
