Job Description

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Design and develop novel in-network security and privacy solutions, considering the constraints of P4 and the underlying hardware. 

  • Conduct extensive experiments and evaluations to assess the performance of the proposed solution and apply optimizations to it if needed. 

  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in network programmability, related standards, and/or industry trends. 

  • Produce technical reports and documentation to communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders. 

 
Qualifications: 

  • PhD (or close to completion) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. 

  • Strong research track record (e.g., publications in top-tier conferences and journals) in network programmability (e.g., SDN, P4-based data plane programming) and network security. 

  • Hands-on expertise in experimenting, measuring, and evaluating networked systems. 

  • Experience with high-speed networking software (specifically Intel® P4 Studio) and/or hardware (specifically Intel's Tofino switches) is required. 

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English.  

  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative, international and interdisciplinary environment.
