1. Your internet site
Job posting on your own website is sometimes disregarded, particularly by smaller organizations. But did you know that 84% of job applicants will look at your website before applying? Your organization will have a presence on Google; why not take advantage of this and share your story? You may be shocked by the outcomes. Oh, and your job postings could even get picked up by a job board aggregator (more about these in a bit).
2. Your intranet/notice board/storefront/newsletter
Get your referrals, word of mouth, and staff incentives flowing! Internally, let everyone know about the fantastic prospects you have. Internal recommendations result in the most effective recruits; you definitely have lots of venues to interact with your workers and market your vacancies for free.
3. Use of Social Media
Tweet your positions, post them on LinkedIn and Facebook, and then get your employees to share them, post photos on Instagram, or speak about them on Snapchat! Seek references from others in their social circle as well. Determine where your current workers spend their networking time and focus your efforts on these sites. Individuals know people that are similar to them... take advantage of this!
4. No-Cost Websites
There are several free job search websites. Although you cannot officially submit to a job aggregator, many will take up your positions from your website if you ask. However, certain websites, such as Indeed.com and Adzuna.com, are presently enabling businesses to post job openings for free. These sites and how they charge are always changing. Many are increasing their traffic by providing free job postings online, but this will definitely alter as they get more popular or as you utilize them more. Google Jobs is also being launched as we speak, with the potential to revolutionize things with free websites as well, so keep an eye on this sector.
5. Job Centre / Universal Job Match
Yawning? Don't! Some jobs perform brilliantly on the job board, and in some circumstances, this is one of the finest locations to get free labor. When utilizing the employment center, you should think about implementing an applicant tracking system (ATS). The amount of time wasters is a regular concern while utilizing the employment centre; this is mainly because they need to verify they have been seeking for jobs. An ATS will let you swiftly screen these persons out and identify repeat offenders.
7. Job Boards in General
Even if you have a high number of recruiting needs, it is always good to consult with recruitment advertising companies like us before going straight to job boards. However, if you are a new client or a large brand, you may receive some attractive prices. We've published a ton of articles on job board advertising (after all it is pretty much all we do). To give you a sense of pricing, please see the table below for how much it will cost to put an advertisement on Monster, Fish, Jobsite, Total Jobs, and other sites. VAT is included in all pricing. Some of these Job Boards will also have special introductory rates...so be sure to inquire!
8. Job Boards for Specific Industries
In addition to the main employment sites mentioned above, there are other specialist job boards. These employment forums are normally far more costly and attract fewer people, but they promise to compensate for this with quality. Just be careful if you invest money on these boards and learn all you can about them. It is also worthwhile to do a Google search as if you were a candidate. For example, when I looked for "HR Jobs in Leeds" on Google, Personnel Today was not even on the first page, despite the fact that this site is intended to be a specialised HR magazine, and 90% of candidate searches begin with Google...
9.Pay Per Click (PPC) Websites (Indeed, Social Media, Google)
PPC job advertising methods may be an effective and focused strategy to market your vacancies and attract possible candidates. The idea is that you build your ad and then pick your audience depending on a number of characteristics. You then bid and/or establish a budget for your ad to appear in front of your chosen audience. The breadth and diversity of criteria available to you vary each site. Indeed, for example, will only utilize job title and location, but Facebook allows you to look into the behavior of their users, such as "has purchased a new automobile in the recent 3 years." You may even bid on specific phrases that people will look for, such as "sales jobs in Leeds." It's up to you how much you spend on these sites, but we'd suggest starting with a budget. Consider employing images or other creative media such as Gifs to make your advertisements stand out.
10.Newspapers / Business Press
Although newspapers and hard copy press are a dying breed, they still have their purpose and, in certain cases, may help you identify the perfect individual. However, they are generally pricey, and unless they have an online version of their employment section, they will only be displayed for 24 hours at most. Something else: Because most newspapers and magazines outsource their online job sections to other parties, going straight to the online job board provider may get better results. Consider how your advertisement is worded as well - newspaper advertisements are not the same as internet advertisements... continue reading...
