You may have seen some similar threads running across the tasks we've looked at here.
Certainly, the occupations that will continue to exist all rely heavily on human labor. They are also all tasks that may not be viable if performed entirely by robots. How many individuals do you know who would be delighted to have a major procedure handled by robots from the minute the anesthesiologist sedates you?
In contrast, the occupations that will vanish all have the following characteristics:
Repetitiveness
Low-efficiency
Often unprofitable - as harsh as it may seem to imply that individuals do not make companies profit, this is the fact of the world.
It is simple to automate
Prone to changing demand - it is less expensive to pay for a machine or piece of software to function when you need it rather than hire someone to stand about doing nothing if there is no demand!
Any employment - or even chores we do in our daily lives - that have these traits will become more automated.
