Are jobs social or economic

What is the significance of occupations in society?

Number one:

"A good day is a pay day," we say at The Youthhood. In other words, you can earn money if you have a job or a career. You can purchase goods you need, pay your bills, have a place to live, and generally do anything you want if you can generate money. You can't accomplish much without money!

Number two:

Having a job or a career makes you happy. Yes, you read it correctly. It's a nice feeling to know you can do something well and earn money for it.

Number three:

When you work, you give back to your community. You contribute to the growth of the economy and your town. You are a productive citizen (which communities cherish) and a valued member of the community.

Number four:

Working allows you to gain new talents, learn new things, and keep a record of your job. When you wish to seek a new or better career, or perhaps go to college, your experiences will be useful.

Number five:

Last but not least, having a job or a profession gives you self-respect, dignity, and self-worth. You are being responsible by ensuring that you can care for yourself. You are laying a firm foundation on which to build a prosperous future.

Your first work may not be the sort of job you've always wanted, but it will teach you skills that will serve you well beyond high school!
