According to newly published statistics from Indeed, the world's biggest employment site, Oxfordshire is the easiest location in the United Kingdom to find a local job, while jobseekers in areas like Scotland and Wales struggle the most. Indeed conducted an analysis in 2019 of the millions of jobs that were posted on its platform and the millions of CVs that were submitted to the site in order to determine the regions of the UK that had the most and lowest number of applicants for each job posting.
According to the findings of the study, some regions in Scotland and Wales have the lowest number of available local employment in comparison to the number of job seekers in those regions. As a result, employees in these regions face the greatest competition while looking for work in their home community.

This is because the area has a relatively large number of tourists who visit the area during the summer months.
One cannot say the same thing for North Ayrshire, which is located within commuting distance of Glasgow but has the lowest rate of employment available for candidates.
