IQ levels, mental capacity, and planning one's professional future
Those with higher levels of intellect are more suited for certain vocations and career routes than those with lower levels of intelligence. Studies have indicated that people who lean toward the top end of the spectrum tend to gravitate toward specific jobs. However, it takes much more than a simple IQ test and spectacular IQ results to effectively determine who those folks could be. If you look at the list, you'll probably come to the same conclusion, at least in principle.
Which occupations, therefore, are best suited for those who have a higher than typical level of intelligence? The following list of ten careers is based on the findings of an earlier study that was carried out by researchers at the University of Wisconsin. These careers are often suitable for those with high IQ scores.
1. Physicians and medical specialists
2. Educators working at universities
3. Electrical engineers
4. Lawyers
5. Scientists
6. Engineers in charge of materials and designs
7. Experts in software and information technology
8. Sales
9. Finance
10. Real estate
