This individual will be responsible for monitoring the premises and protecting our valuable employees, visitors, renters, and inventory. Our ideal applicant will have past experience working in the security industry, preferably as a guard or officer, in addition to having training in both self-defense and first aid. It is expected that he or she will have a keen sense of observation and a fast response time in order to identify any potentially suspicious or illegal conduct and to prevent theft or damage.

We will depend on you to protect, safeguard, and secure the assets, staff, customers, tenants, visitors, and other persons and property located on our premises, even though you will be working under the direct supervision of a security sergeant throughout your assigned shift.

Maintain a risk-free setting by means of concerted efforts by everyone involved, including vigilant active patrol, stringent access control, monitoring, and equipment control.

Maintain constant visibility and vigilance, and welcome employees, customers, and other business contacts with courtesy and focus at all times.

Immediate action must be taken in response to cries of distress, panic alarms, and emergency calls for disorderly behavior, disruptive people, and occurrences that must be dealt with promptly and responsibly.

Coordinate your efforts with those of the other security officers to provide adequate protection and coverage.

Responsibilities on a Daily and Monthly Basis

On foot, conduct patrols of the property to ensure that the people, assets, buildings, gates, and fence perimeter are secure in any and all weather situations.

Conduct investigations into, and take the right legal action in response to, any accidents, incidents, trespassing, suspicious activities, safety concerns, or fires that may occur on the premises; this is required under the company's policy.

Control and monitor the surveillance equipment, as well as execute inspections of the facility and its equipment.

During the beginning and ending of business hours, guards are responsible for directing heavy traffic, allowing or rejecting admission, restraining trespassers, and monitoring access points.

Complete daily reports, containing pertinent information, signatures, observations, and film from surveillance, as well as any other required elements.

Depending on the shift, ensure that all doors, windows, and exits are secured.

Competencies and Accomplishments

A diploma from high school or its equivalent is required.

Officially licensed member of the security force

A track record of success as a security officer

Helpful, friendly attitude

Training and certification in first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and self-defense

MMPI is a psychological exam that is necessary if an individual is armed or for other reasons.

Qualifications That Would Be Ideal
