Reflexologist jobs

Reflexologist

A reflexologist is a practitioner of alternative medicine who massages a patient's feet, hands, and ears in attempt to unblock related energy channels in the body and bring about a positive change in the patient's overall state of well-being. Reflexology is also known as zone therapy.

The principles of Chinese medicine, which date back 5,000 years, are the foundation of reflexology. These ideas hold that fundamental life force, or Qi, circulates through the body in invisible channels, therefore nourishing both the body and the soul. According to the principles of reflexology, every part of the body, as well as every organ and system, has a corresponding reflex zone that can be found on the hands and feet. Depending on the symptoms that the patient is exhibiting, the massage of these zones may either unblock energy channels, excite energy channels, or soothe energy channels. It has been discovered that the indigenous peoples of North America and the ancient Egyptians both used a kind of the healing art known as reflexology. Studies that were conducted in the early 20th century by physiotherapist Eunice D. Ingham are largely responsible for the development of modern reflexology.

A reflexologist who is just beginning out might anticipate earning between £11,000 and £14,000 per year on average.

The annual salary of an experienced reflexologist who has built up a solid clientele might be anywhere from £20,000 to £35,000.

An annual salary of more than £35,000 is possible for a reflexologist who operates their own clinic and who also pays salaries to additional staff members.
