Funeral Directors are responsible for carrying out the preferences of the dead or the family of the deceased when it comes to the planning and coordination of funeral preparations.


Tasks

Conducts interviews with members of the dead person's family and other close acquaintances in order to provide assistance with funeral preparations, such as the choice of casket, the kind of service, and the printing of death announcements.

Give advice on the financial aspects of the funeral and the welfare arrangements.

Collects dead corpses from funeral homes and morgues.

Verifies that death certificates have been issued, that certificates for burial and cremation have been handled, and that any other statutory obligations have been satisfied.

Washing, draining body fluids, applying padding and cosmetics, clothing corpses, and putting them in coffins are all part of the process of preparing bodies for viewing and burial.

Maintain communication with the church, the employees at the cemetery, and the Crematory.

As well as arranging flower arrangements and collecting attendance and tribute cards, this person is responsible for coordinating the transfer of coffins and funeral automobiles.

Makes arrangements for the positioning of coffins at burial locations, as well as the installation of flower arrangements and the altering of lighting.

Maintains records and accounting of the transactions and services that have been carried out.

It is possible to organize the building of monuments as well as the disposal of ashes.
