What's it like?
You could build partition walls within a room to provide more usable space, to conceal pipes and wires, or to enhance insulation.
During renovations, the room's acoustics may also be improved thanks to your labor, and uneven walls could be leveled out thanks to your efforts.
Plasterboard panels would be used to construct the inside walls of homes, workplaces, and retail establishments. In addition to that, you may set up detachable wall barriers, suspended ceilings, and elevated floors.
The work would be divided into two distinct phases.
During the step known as "fixing," you would:
Measure the plasterboard according to the technical diagrams, and then cut it to the appropriate sizes and angles.
Install specific studs to attach the panels to the wooden or metal frames, as well as the ceiling joists.
Panels should be cut to fit around entrances.
Create apertures in the wall for the window.
You would do the following to "complete" the walls:
Joints may be sealed using filler or glue.
Cover the seal with tape, either by hand or with a taping machine.
On top of the tape, apply a very thin layer of plaster (skimming)
The walls should be sanded before they are painted and decorated.
You would be required to adhere to the construction requirements and work in a safe manner.
Hours
In a typical week, you would put in up to forty hours of effort. If you want to reduce the amount of disturbance that your commercial contract causes to the client's company, you may have to work evenings, nights, or weekends.
Environment
Because you would need to lift and move panels into position, the task may be considered to be physically demanding. When installing a ceiling, you would typically do your job from ladders or a small scaffold.
Travel
You would need to get yourself to each location individually. It's possible that you'll need a valid driver's license in order to carry your gear in a van.
