In what ways may the position evolve in the years to come?
Drones are becoming more commonplace, and there are a number of ways in which coast guards may profit from using them. If there is a person who has gone missing at sea, drones might be used to broaden the search area or to relay live images from a location that is difficult for people to access, such as a cliff face where a person is stranded.
